about

State Radio drummer Mike Najarian's project, Ratfynkt, began with basement tapes recorded in Duxbury, Massachusetts with Chris DeLisle on bass, Najarian on guitar/vocals, and Steve DiRamio on drums. Joe Forte (lead guitar) and Dom Locapo (lead vocals) joined forces with the trio in 2008 and the band began to make a name for itself by playing venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Harper's Ferry, and the Middle East in Boston, Massachusetts.

In 2009 and early 2010, Ratfynkt recorded tracks for their debut album 'Populate'. The album was released mid October 2010 under the indie label DeRame Records. In December 2010 Ratfynkt recorded tracks for their acoustic/electric EP 'Bare None', which was released on June 18, 2011.

Track Name: Shame
Well its rather high.
Your unemployment and crime
So grab your own
And walk right on by

Mother missed me ….Brother kicked me…Father hit me…It’s a shame

Mother Mary…Won’t you save me…Jesus and me…It’s the same

Take my hand
Because your philosophy says I’ll lose my head

Well I see your plight
Yeah but times are tight
So close your mind
And just walk on by

Mother missed me…Brother kicked me…Father hit me…It’s a shame

Take my hand
Because your philosophy says I’ll lose my head.
Track Name: Scrooge
I followed all your rules
How dare you?
Aware of what I lose
How dare you?

And we’ll hate the sound of we
And we’ll hate the sound you’ll see

I laid down all your parts
How dare you?
To cultivate your art

And we’ll hate the sound of we
And you’ll hate the sound of me

Breakout for the man you were is dead.
Breakout this is war.

And we’ll hate the sound of we
And you’ll hate the sound

Breakout for the man you were is dead.

Breakout this is war.
Track Name: Omnipotent
Some sunlight
Flows down to you
You wonder
Who told it to?
Long live the
Creator of this Earth
For He
Will outlive the Earth itself

Light the Lantern.

Cold darkness
Surrounds you
You shudder
Who told it to?
Long live the
Creator of this Earth
For He
Will outlive the Earth itself

Light the Lantern.

Crawling into
Feeding into
Breathing in the Life
He calls more.

Falling into
Wreathing into
Seething in the Life
He calls more

Rise up
Rise.

Crawling into
Feeding into
Breathing in the Life
He calls more.

Falling into
Wreathing into
Seething in the Life
He calls more

Crawling into
Breathing into
Feeding on the Life
He calls more.

He calls More.
Track Name: Out the Window
As we embark upon this new frontier
Discovery can lead to instant fear
Things to prove and ideas pushed aside
A micro nation sees its time to rise

Its out the window
Its out the window

The feeble follow as the strong just nod
The leader fearless as he presses on
Determined he will fight and hunt you down
Heavy is the head that wears the crown

Its out the window
Its out the window
Its out the window

Who’s the enemy
Who’s the enemy
Is it interesting?

Its out the window
Its out the window

Who’s the enemy?
Who’s the enemy?
And the innocent?

Who’s the enemy
Who’s the enemy
Is it interesting?

I know its all exposed
I know its all exposed
Awry
Track Name: Chernobyl
So, your eyes are faded anticipating war
Fight.

So you want it?
(You the needed the power your home)
Well you’ve bought it
(Depleted the power to power your soul)
Want to hold it?
(Seeding the trouble to pay down the toll)
Well you own it now.

And the skies are low
And the water broke
And the Gods are all welcoming you home.

Broke, the pieces of your self inflated scorn
Pride.

So you want it?
Well you bought it now.

And the skies are low
And the water broke
And the Gods are all welcoming you home.

And the water broke
And the Gods alone
Hold the skies above your welcoming new home

Well you thought
To test your flaws
